Dr. Sourav Kumar Mishra belongs to the state of Odisha. He has completed his MBBS from SCB Medical College and Hospitals,cuttack in 2008.After that he did his MD in general medicine from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University in the year 2013.In the same year he joined the Cancer Institute in Chennai to pursue his Doctorate in Medical Oncology. There he had the opportunity to work with the pioneers in the field of oncology in India. During his tenure as a resident in Cancer Institute he was trained in adult & paediatric oncology, malignant haematology and bone marrow transplantations. He completed his DM in August 2016 and immediately came back to Odisha to serve the people here. He served as Associate Professor in the Department of medical oncology in IMS & SUM Hospitals from September 2016 to October 2019. Currently he serves as consultant medical oncology at AMRI hospitals, Bhubaneswar.

His areas of interest include haematology, urogenital malignancies, molecular oncology and gastrointestinal malignancies. He is a member of IMA and leading oncological societies like ISMPO, ICON, ESMO and ASCO.

He is passionate about cancer care and is involved in many philanthropic activities. He is a trustee in the Fight Against Cancer NGO.

He has great interest in academics and has many national and international publications. He mentors many budding physicians.

He is the editor in the Indian Journal of Medical and Paediatric oncology and the oncology journal of India.

He has conducted many national and international clinical trials.

I have 9 years of experience in the field of clinical and radiation oncology.

I have additional qualifications is pain and palliative care as well as Biostatistics.

I have attained Fellowship degree in all Advanced radiation techniques e.g. IMRT,IGRT, VMAT, SRS, SRT, SBRT and HDR Brachytherapy from one of the premier institutes Fortis hospital, Delhi .

Moreover I being the only female oncologist with a successful career in private setup will provide us mileage for targeting the female population as most don't come forward due to soceital norms
